RULES: All games will be played using USA Ultimate 11th Edition Rules including the approved additions:

1. Spirit Award: I feel the main reason we all fell in love with ultimate is the spirit of the game and when we were terrible players we all were welcomed by someone who loved the game as much as we do now.  With that in mind we will be doing spirit awards for this weekend and ask that all team select a spirit captain for your team and provide their contact info to me, this will help as I have to collect the scores and enter them for the teams to be able to award the winning team.  I have also attached a score sheet and a Spirit captain role description and in case you need some guidelines on the scoring as sheet for that too.  We are working on additional awards for spirit but I am proud to say that VC is sponsoring the event by providing team credits for the Spirit winners in each division.

2. Start time and Trainers: Games will start at 9am Saturday, we have asked the trainer be available for taping etc an hour before the games.

4. Captains Meeting/Packet: I will be walking around to all of the captains during your warm up to make sure you don't have any last minute questions but I feel it is necessary for your teams to practice with your leadership and prefer to not take you away from that where you are able to get the info here or in the packet.  The packet will hopefully be complete and sent out by tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon, but it is possible it will be Thursday...I am waiting on 1 scheduling factor.  I would like to talk to the Spirit Captains when I talk to the captains as well.

End zone Size - End zone length will be shortened to 20 yards. This change allows for consistency with WFDF rules used in international competition and increases the number of field sites that can be used for ultimate.

Contact Call - If contact occurs between the thrower and marker that would constitute a foul under XVI.H.3.a but the thrower does not release the disc, "contact" may be called. Play does not stop and the marker resumes the stall count at "one". Other than resetting the stall count to "one" after the first instance, the "contact" call is treated as any other marking violation. The marker may contest the "contact" call by calling "violation", which stops play. If the thrower calls "contact" after beginning the throwing motion and subsequently releases the disc, it is treated as if the thrower called "foul".

Games: Rounds will be 120 minutes.  90 minutes to soft cap.  20 minutes to hard cap and then 10 minutes between games.  All games are to 15 with a hard cap at 17.  2 times outs per half.  1 time out in over time regardless of time outs used in regular game.
