Hello MS team leaders,

I am Jeff Berget, Events Director and board member of Altitude Youth Ultimate.  Along with Lisi Lohre, Middle School Director, we have gathered enough positive feedback that we will in fact move forward with a Fall MS ultimate tournament. We now have 5+ teams interested which is GREAT!  We also have a lot to talk about as the tourney will be 5 weeks from this Weekend. It will be a one day event and will be SUNDAY November 12th at Broomfield Commons Park.  Just like the Spring Tourney, it will be run by AYU and will be sanctioned (insured) by USA Ultimate.  Because of this, all teams will pay $15/player (for player memberships - $11.50/player and field costs - $3.50/player) and all teams must follow the deadlines/guidelines below in order to participate.  (If a team fails to meet any of the first 3 deadlines, that team risks possible exclusion of the event - No player can play without becoming/paying for a USAU membership, providing a Signed Parent waiver and Med form)

BUT this should be MUCH easier for returning teams this Fall because any player that played in the Spring should already have a membership AND waiver signed

Dates/Deadlines:

By Wednesday, October 11th - If interested in attending the tourney read the rest of this message AND THEN fill out THIS SURVEY. (additional details in the survey)

By Monday, October 16th - Have someone start the process of becoming your teams 'Chaperone'
(If you are not a USAU approved chaperone then you will need to become one as a chaperone is required for each team for a USAU youth event. The background check can take up to 2 weeks to process so please complete this step by the 16th or as soon as possible.  There is also a $21.50 fee for the Background Check that will be good for 2 years.)  These directions will help guide you through this process.

By Monday, October 23rd - Tourney Fee is due.  $150
(To hold your teams place in the event and so we don't have any 'no shows' each team needs to submit $150.  This amount will roll into your final payment of $15/kid.  So essentially you are just prepaying for 10 kids and will owe an additional $15/kid above and beyond the first 10 players which is due by Tourney Day)
Please either:
Paypal $150 to altitudeult@gmail.com (preferred)
(please use the 'send to friends and family' option so there are NO FEES in the transaction and make a note as to which team/school the fee is for)
OR
Send a $150 check made out to and sent to:
Altitude Youth Ultimate
3687 Xanthia St. Denver CO 80238

IS THIS COED? - YES AND NO...This event is for both Boys and Girls, but there are no requirements for having a set number of players from either gender on the field at the same time. Teams are encouraged to play both girls and boys as they are able, but the opposing team will not be required to have the same gender ratio on their line. For example, if your team has 2 girls on the field, the other team can play with 1, 3 or no girls on at the same time
