What: A one-day, open developmental Middle School and High School tournament
Where: Poor Farm Park in Ashland, VA (Multi-purpose fields 1-5)
Date: Saturday, November 10
Time: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (10:30 AM check-in)
Cost: $150 per team
Ages: Middle school...10-15, High school...14-18
Details:
- Middle school games will be 5-on-5. High school games will be 7-on-7.
- Middle school teams need to have a minimum of 8 players on the roster. High school teams need to have a minimum of 10 players on the roster.
- This is an open developmental tournament! It's an opportunity for new/growing teams in the area to come play other teams who are close to their level. It will likely be the first tournament for some teams. Age ranges will be flexible (10-15 for middle school, 14-18 for high school) to allow new/growing clubs to have enough kids to field a team.
- Teams are guaranteed at least 3 games. Exact structure TBD based on # of MS and HS teams that register.
- Possible "a la carte" youth clinics during byes, presented by experienced Richmond Ultimate players.
- Team awards for Spirit of the Game.
- All teams must have a USAU approved adult chaperone on the roster and present at games. RUYO volunteers are not responsible for supervising players, clearing up on-field conflicts, or driving injured players to hospitals. These are the players' and team managers' responsibilities.
- Players' parents will need to complete two USAU forms: 1) Medical Authorization, and 2) Waiver of Liability. The cost for the one-day USAU membership is included in the team cost. Chaperone or team manager will deliver all forms to the Tournament Director during check-in.
- Registration closes on 11/4. The sooner you register, the better...registration will close sooner if the max # of teams is reached.
Youth Participation Requirements - These requirements must be followed for any event that involves a participant under the age of 18. This includes the requirement for a rostered chaperone.
