Learn to Compete League: Girls Academy Durham Spring 2019

This event is currently set for Invite-Only registration.
Learn to Compete will focus on refining fundamentals and introducing advanced ultimate skills and strategies to 10-14-year-olds. This will be done through a combination of focused drills and exercises during the first part of each session, and then 5v5 games during the second part of each session. Participants will be split up into teams and compete in a mini-league throughout the five sessions, giving participants the chances to practice the skills they develop in a game environment.

Sundays, March 10-April 14 (5 Sundays - rain date April 14) from 1:00-4:00pm

Learn to Compete is an ideal program for:
Kids who have aged out of the Learn to Play clinics and want more advanced instruction and play
Kids who are preparing for their Middle School Ultimate frisbee season or want a chance to work on the skills they've previously learned!
Registration deadline
- Registration will be open until the first clinic (March 10). However, shirts will only be provided on the first day for kids who registered by February 22. If you register after February 22 you will receive your shirt midway through the clinic series.
Cost:
$60 - This includes 5 sessions, a custom disc, a shirt, and tons of fun!

This spring Triangle Ultimate will be running Learn to Compete league with a clinic component each week in Durham. There is also a girls' only academy you can sign up for!
*No membership is required to attend this Learn to Compete league. A free one day membership is offered at this Learn to Play league as a low-barrier way for youth to get involved in ultimate. The membership ensures that participants receive insurance and liability coverage at the clinic. Learn more about membership benefits here,

**Each participant must complete a USA Ultimate
insurance and liability waiver and medical authorization form
in order to attend the clinic. You must bring the completed medical authorization form to the Learn to Compete league. You can consent to the USA Ultimate Waiver via the registration form to the left or by bringing a signed paper copy to the league.
