The Transcontinentals first played together in 1871 in Bridgeport, CN in a park across the street from a local pie company. We have played significant exhibition games in Washington, DC on August 18, 1920, at Wham-o in 1957, in Boston on April 19, 1966 and again on April 19, 1967. Our biggest event to date was at an invitational in the Columbia HS parking lot in Maplewood, NJ in 1968. And we were happy to make an appearance at Glamorise Foundations in 1975. We look forward to playing the first ultimate at the Olympics in 2084. This will be our third trip to Nationals in the GGMW division, and most of our original members are still with us. We’re excited to be playing together again! (And while this is US Nationals, don’t be surprised to hear some Japanese on our sidelines or on the field – 5 of our players are native speakers or fluent!)
