The Middle School clinic focuses on coaching philosophy and some fundamentals of coaching. It is not a skills and/or tactics clinic. The clinic is highly participatory; this is not a "sit and be lectured to" clinic. You will need to come prepared to be introspective and share! The topics covered in the three hour 15 minute are:
Coaching philosophy and Leadership
Spirit of the Game/Self-Officiating
Practice and Long-Term Athlete Development
You must attend the entire clinic to be eligible to take the certification exam. The manual will be sent to you after the clinic as a .pdf as well as the link to take the test once the clinic facilitators have verified attendance.
If you have questions about the clinic, please contact the clinic organizer.
To register and attend the clinic you must have completed the Foundational Coach training and have your background check and SafeSport be current as of the time of the clinic.
