2023 Regional Talent ID Camp: New England Ultimate

Camp Times: Registration begins at 8:00 am with camp running 8:30 am - 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 8

Who: Players ages 14-18. To be eligible to try out for the 2024 World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC) in the next tryout cycle, athletes must be at least 14 years old by the date of the camp and must not turn 20 before January 1, 2025.

 

Players don't have to meet the tryout requirements to attend the camp as it will still be a beneficial player development opportunity.

 

Where: Oxbow Marina, 180 Island Rd, Northampton, MA 01060

Cost: $125 includes U.S. National Team reversible tank and disc. If you would like lunch included, choose the $135 option at registration.

Registration Deadline: Monday, June 26 at 11:59 pm MST 

No refunds will be given after June 27, 2023.

Please note that you must pay at the same time you register. 


U.S. National Team Coach Tulsa Douglas will run the camp. The camp is designed to give attendees insight and experience in the skills, tactics and games utilized at National Team tryouts. It will be an opportunity for players to receive a better understanding of the U.S. National Team culture and tryout process. The camp will also give campers and coaches a chance to learn each other's playing and coaching styles.

 

Tulsa started playing ultimate competitively her first year of high school in Amherst, MA. She went on to captain her college team, St. Olaf Vortex, for three years culminating with a DIII National title in 2018, where she was named Ultiworld Player of the Year. Tulsa joined Boston Brute Squad in 2017 with whom she has won 1 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medal at club nationals. Tulsa also competed with the 2018 USA U24 women's team in Perth, winning gold. She has played 5 years of professional ultimate with New York Gridlock in the PUL and served as a Selection Assistant for the 2022 U20 Open National Team.

 

If there are enough registrants, campers will be divided up by gender.

  • This camp is not a tryout for the U.S. National Team.
  • Attendance at this camp is not a requirement nor any guarantee of acceptance into the U.S.National Team tryout process or U.S. National Teams themselves.

You can consent to the USA Ultimate Waiver and Infectious Diseases Waiver via the registration form to the left, your USA Ultimate member account, or by completing a signed paper copy and submitting it at the clinic.
