Format

We get two (2) guaranteed bids to regionals. We may receive a third, TBD.  We will use format 4.2 from the USAU tournament format manual, which is Pools 4.1 and Bracket 4.3.


1 horn blast - round start

2 horn blasts - halftime cap

1 horn blast - soft cap

2 horn blasts - hard cap


All Games - Game to 15, halftime (5 minutes) at 8

Halftime cap at 50 minutes

Soft cap at 85 minutes

Hard cap at 95 minutes

2 timeouts per team per half


Cap Rules

Soft cap - play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the game total has not yet been reached by one team, one is added to the higher score and the resulting number is the new game total.


Hard cap -  play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the score is tied, play continues until one additional goal is scored. Otherwise, the game ends. The team with the most goals at the end of the game is the winner.

 

Halftime cap - play continues until the current scoring attempt is completed. If, after the current scoring attempt is completed, the halftime target has not yet been reached by one team, one is added to the higher score and the resulting number is the new halftime target.

 

 

Weather Backup Plan
In the case that weather makes the fields unplayable (heavy, puddling rain), we will let you know on Friday. Likely rescheduling date will be the following weekend (4/16-4/17).


COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into 2022, USA Ultimate activities and programs for the year will be evaluated and planned with the health and safety of our members and the broader community as the top priority. In collaboration with its Medical Advisory Working Group, along with guidance from other medical experts, public health officials and sports organizations, USA Ultimate will work during 2022 to provide opportunities for safe and healthy ultimate and ultimate-related activities that are in line with its COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures and all applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.

Championship Tournament - Conference Championship Tournament

The "2022-2023 Official Rules of Ultimate" will be used for all USA Ultimate competition. This applies to all USA Ultimate-owned and sanctioned events. The new rules are available at https://usaultimate.org/rules/ in HTML and PDF formats. The new rules are also available in the USA Ultimate app.

Health, Safety and Liability Requirements - Please make sure to understand, follow, and communicate/share these requirements with all participants.

 

Provisions & Amenities - A list of important items that should be provided at the tournament. (Note not all items may be provided at regular season or recreation events, such as logos, event guides, shelter etc.).

 

Youth Participation Requirements - These requirements must be followed for any event that involves a participant under the age of 18. This includes the requirement for a rostered chaperone.
