Carolina Friends School’s ultimate team will be hosting a Learn to Compete clinic on December 15! CFS has had a strong high school ultimate program for a number of years and many of the players involved in that history will be coming back to join current high school players in coaching this clinic.
 
When: Saturday, December 15 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm

Cost: $15 Players can register here.
 
Schedule: We’ll start with a clinic in the morning. Female coaches include members of the 2017 and 2018 Youth Club Championships National Champion Warhawks and the 2018 gold medal winning US Junior National Team. Male coaches include former CFS players who now play for top club and college teams including 2015 and 2018 National College Champions Darkside (UNC Chapel Hill) and 2017 National College Champions CUT (Carleton College). 
 
After a mid-day break, we’ll play a tournament with CFS players coaching "Hat Tournament" style teams. (The term ‘hat tournament’ comes from making teams randomly by drawing names out of a hat. For this tournament, we will strive to make the random teams somewhat evenly matched using information about players’ ages and experience.)

Carolina Friends School’s ultimate team will be hosting a fun day of ultimate
 *No membership is required to attend Learn to Play clinics. A free one day membership is offered at Learn to Play clinics as a low-barrier way for youth to get involved in ultimate. The membership ensures that participants receive insurance and liability coverage at the clinic. Learn more about membership benefits here, usaultimate.org/membership/benefits.aspx.
 
**Each participant must complete a USA Ultimate insurance and liability waiver and medical authorization form in order to attend the clinic. You must bring the completed medical authorization form to the Learn to Play clinic. You can consent to the USA Ultimate Waiver via the registration form to the left or by bringing a signed paper copy to the clinic.
