There will be a new tournament opportunity in the Midwest in 2018! Spirit of the Plains (SotP) will be held in Ames, Iowa on June 30 and July 1. SotP will be a sanctioned club early in the season to help get the season kicked off the right way. All three divisions will be represented. Bid fees are $375 per open and mixed team, and $325 per womens team. Your bid fees cover fields at one location, certified athletic trainers at the fields, limited provided tournament food, bathrooms with handwashing station, water refills in multiple locations, and food trucks as an additional food option. In addition, there will be a tournament get together on Saturday evening for all people to spend some time together off the field. The after tournament party will be at Alluvial Brewing. We think this is a great event for the Midwest, as Ames is a central location for many teams in the area. Number of teams will be capped to accommodate the space we have available. 12 open teams, 12 mixed teams, and 12 womens teams will be the maximum accepted. Bids will be offered on a first come, first served basis and only teams that have paid will be considered to be officially accepted. The last date to accepted bids will be May 30, 2018.
