The "2022-2023 Official Rules of Ultimate" will be used for all USA Ultimate competition. This applies to all USA Ultimate-owned and sanctioned events. The new rules are available at https://usaultimate.org/rules/ in HTML and PDF formats. The new rules are also available in the USA Ultimate app.
All games are to 13. No win by 2.
Rounds are 90 minutes long, with 10 minutes between rounds.
One timeout per half + one floater.
Hard cap rules:
- Hard cap comes on 90 minutes after the round’s scheduled start time (even if you start late). We’ll try to have a horn go off at hard cap but please keep an eye on the time just in case.
- Once hard cap comes on, play continues until the current scoring attempt ends. (A scoring attempt starts as soon as the previous goal is scored.)
- If, after the current scoring attempt is over, the score is tied, one more point will be played to determine the winner. Otherwise the game is over
