2018 Pennsylvania HS Boys State Championship - Rules

>TIMEOUTS
  • All games all weekends will have one (1) timeout per half plus one (1) floating timeout
  • Timeouts CAN be used after soft cap.
  • Timeouts can NOT be used after hard cap. '
 
>TIME CAPS
  • All games have two time caps: Soft Cap: 85 minutes (1 horn) Hard Cap: 105 minutes (2 horns)
  • All rounds are 2 hours, on the hour (9a, 11a, 1p, 3p, 5p), which means:
    • Soft Caps: 25 after the hour
    • Hard Caps: 45 after the hour
    • 15 minutes in between games (at minimum).
 
>POINT CAPS
The standard is that games are to 15 points, win by 2. The exceptions are below. Please read carefully.
  • Girls Pool A has an extra game on Saturday so Pool Play games are to 13
  • Girls Consolation Pool Play on Sunday has 4 games in the day so games are to 13
  • Boys Pool D has one fewer game on Saturday so Pool Play games are to 17
>FIELD MAP
  • You may park anywhere that has gravel, except right in front of the pavilion (trainer needs access).
  • There will be some port-o-johns dispersed across the complex. We are not 100% sure where yet.
  • There is a water source on the back of the restrooms building.
  • There is a dumpster located diagonally opposite from the pavilion (thanks!). NOTE: teams are responsible for taking large items (broken tents, coolers, etc) to the dumpster!
>TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
  • The athletic trainer will be at the pavilion unless he is out with a player. Please be patient if so. He should be arriving at 8am both days and will be there until the last round ends.
  • Schedules will be located here.
  • Scores should be reported at that spot. You can also tweet them at @pghHSultimate.
  • Food bags will be here in the morning of Day 1.
  • Tournament merchandise will be for sale at the pavilion all weekend.
  • The concession stand is also located here.
